Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Ahoy iOS app (“Ahoy”, “the app”) handles information. It is written to be honest and specific: Ahoy is a fully offline reference app, and it collects no personal data.
The data controller is Krzysztof Przekwas (Poland). For any question about this policy, contact przekwaskrzysiek@gmail.com.
Data we collect
None. Ahoy does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no user accounts and no sign-up. All content is bundled in the app and works without an internet connection, so your use of the app is not sent anywhere.
No tracking or analytics
Ahoy contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third-party SDKs that profile you. We do not use cookies or advertising identifiers, and we do not build a profile of you or your activity.
Preferences stored on your device
Settings you choose — language, appearance, buoyage region, and whether you opted in to a future-features notification — are saved only in local storage on your device. They never leave the device and are removed when you delete the app.
Notifications
Ahoy can ask permission to send you a single notification when its upcoming education features launch. This is entirely optional, you can decline or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings, and opting in does not transmit any personal data to us.
Feedback you send us
If you use the “Send feedback” option, your device’s email app opens a message addressed to us. If you choose to send it, we receive whatever you write (and your email address) solely to read and respond to your feedback. Sending feedback is always your choice.
Children
Ahoy is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because Ahoy does not collect or store your personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. If you email us, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
